AI Usage and Learning Data Disclosure

Where artificial intelligence is used — course generation, tutoring, grading and coaching — what it can get wrong, and how your interactions are processed to produce it.
ClikServ Course Studio is built around artificial intelligence: it writes courses from a teacher’s material, tutors students in those courses, and helps grade and coach their work. This page says plainly where AI is used, what it can get wrong, and what happens to your data when it is used. It supplements the Privacy Policy and the Terms of Service.
Where AI is used
| Feature | What the AI does | What it is given |
|---|---|---|
| Course generation | Reads the material a teacher uploads, reports what a course built from it would look like, then writes the outline and each lesson: explanations, examples, quizzes, free-response checks and, for programming and business courses, lab exercises and cases. Describes images when a caption cannot be read from the file. | The uploaded material and the teacher's brief. |
| AI tutor and mentor | Answers a student's questions in a lesson, explains, gives hints, and keeps a running conversation. | The lesson, the student's messages, and their learning profile: level, goal, interests (for examples only) and what they have understood so far. |
| Grading and understanding | Scores free-response answers against the lesson's rubric with written feedback, judges whether a paraphrase shows understanding, and notes what a student has grasped. | The question, the rubric, and the student's answer. Interests are never used in grading. |
| Coding lab and Business Lab coaching | Explains failing tests and errors, suggests next steps, and in the Business Lab judges a decision and its reasoning. | The exercise, the student's code or decision, and the test or case results. |
| Content and resource review | Helps teachers review generated content against the source, regenerates a draft on request, and checks links added as class resources before students see them. | The content, the source passages it came from, and the resource's address. |
| Course summaries and creator help | Writes a completion summary for a finished course and answers a teacher's questions while they build one. | The course and the question. |
What AI can get wrong
- It can be wrong. Explanations, facts, code, calculations and grades can contain mistakes, even when they read confidently. The same question can get different answers.
- It can be incomplete or out of date, and it may reflect biases in the material it was given or was trained on.
- Teachers and admins should review generated material before students rely on it. The product gives them a review page to compare each part with its source, approve, edit, regenerate or exclude it, and lock what must not change.
- Grades stay with the teacher. AI readings of a student's work are stored for the teacher, who can change them; the student sees feedback and completion, never the number.
- Not professional advice. AI feedback is educational support. It is not professional, legal, medical, financial, investment or tax advice, unless a qualified instructor has reviewed it and says so. Business Lab cases are exercises, not recommendations.
- Not a person. The tutor has a name and a personality so lessons feel conversational; it is software. Questions about your course, grades or wellbeing belong with your teacher.
How your data is processed to produce AI responses
- To generate a response, the product sends the AI provider the inputs listed above — the material, your message, your answer or your code, and the learning profile the feature needs. Nothing else about you (your email, your billing details, other students’ work) is sent.
- The providers are Anthropic (Claude models) and OpenAI (GPT models). A teacher chooses which writes a course, or both to compare; staff can see which provider a course used. They process requests under their commercial terms, which do not permit training on customer data by default. ClikServ does not train AI models of its own on your content.
- Your conversations with the tutor are stored with your account so you can continue them and so your teacher can see how you are learning (see the Student Data and School Use Policy). They are deleted with your account.
- For every AI request the product records which feature made it, the tokens used, the cost, how long it took and whether it failed — linked to your account by an opaque id. This is what your AI credits are counted from and what the platform’s cost monitoring uses. The content of the request is not part of that record.
AI credits and fair use
AI features are covered by a monthly allowance shown as credits — never as tokens or money. When the allowance is used up the AI features pause until it renews; lessons, notes and everything else keep working. A plan’s allowance is shown on the Pricing page.
