Terms of Service

The agreement for using the product: accounts and roles, paid plans and classes, your content, AI-generated content, responsibilities, cancellation and the limits of our liability.
These terms are the agreement between you and ClikServ (“we”) for using ClikServ Course Studio (the “product”). By creating an account, joining a class, or using the product you agree to them, together with the Privacy Policy, the Acceptable Use Policy and, if you pay for anything, the Refund and Cancellation Policy. If you use the product on behalf of a school or organisation, you confirm you may bind it to these terms.
Eligibility and accounts
- You need an account to use the product beyond these public pages. Accounts are keyed by a verified email address; signing up again with the same address signs you into the existing account rather than creating a second one.
- If you are not old enough to agree to these terms on your own where you live, a school or a parent or guardian must agree for you and is responsible for your use. See the Student Data and School Use Policy.
- Keep your sign-in method secure and do not share your account. You are responsible for what happens under it. Tell us at once if you think it has been accessed without permission.
- Give accurate information at sign-up and keep it up to date.
Roles: student, teacher, admin
- Students take courses, keep notes, talk to the AI tutor, and, where their class includes it, ask their teacher for help. Students see only their own records and the courses their classes or plan include.
- Teachers sign up by choosing Teacher and wait for an administrator to approve the account. Approved teachers create courses and classes, invite students, add co-teachers and co-mentors, grade work, answer questions, chat with their students and set class pricing. Teachers are responsible for the material they upload and for reviewing what the product generates from it before students rely on it.
- Administrators run the platform: approving teachers, managing people and organisations, billing settings, platform metrics and clean-up. An administrator can see everything on the platform.
We may decline or withdraw teacher approval, and may change what a role can do, as the product develops.
Paid plans, classes and AI credits
- Public courses plan: a monthly subscription (shown on the Pricing page) that gives a student every public course, the AI tutor and labs in those courses, and a monthly allowance of AI credits. It renews each month on the day you subscribed until you cancel.
- Paid classes: a teacher or administrator may set a price for a private class — either a one-time payment or a monthly subscription. Paying gives you that class’s courses and teacher help for as long as the payment or subscription covers. Joining a paid class stops the Public courses plan from renewing, as the Pricing page tells you before you pay.
- Demo access: an administrator may offer demo courses free for a limited time, with no card required. When the window ends the demo courses close and a plan is needed to continue.
- AI credits: AI features are covered by a fair-use allowance, shown as credits. When credits run out the AI features pause until the allowance renews; everything else keeps working. We may adjust allowances with notice.
- Payments are processed by Stripe on Stripe’s pages; we never hold your card details. Prices are shown before you pay and include any applicable tax unless stated otherwise. Cancellation, access after cancelling, and refunds are described in the Refund and Cancellation Policy.
- Teacher plans, where offered, set how many courses, classes and students a teacher can run and their monthly AI credits.
Your content
- You keep what you own. Material you upload, answers you write, notes you keep, messages you send and courses generated from your material remain yours (or your school’s). You give us the permission we need to store, process, display and transmit it — including sending it to the AI providers named in the Privacy Policy — solely to provide and improve the product for you.
- You are responsible for your uploads. Only upload material you have the right to use for teaching, and respect the licence terms of textbooks, slides and other third-party works. Do not upload anything containing other people’s personal data beyond what a class needs.
- Teachers decide who sees a course: public, their classes, or private. Students never see the source material a course was generated from, only the course.
- We may remove content that breaks these terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, and will tell the owner where we reasonably can.
AI-generated content
Courses, lessons, exercises, tutor replies, grades on free-response answers, lab feedback and Business Lab coaching are produced with artificial intelligence. AI can be wrong, incomplete, out of date or biased, and the same question can get different answers.
- Generated material is a starting point for teachers to review and edit, and the product gives them tools to approve, edit, regenerate and lock content. Students should treat the tutor as a study aid, not an authority, and check anything important.
- AI feedback is educational support. It is not professional, legal, medical, financial or investment advice, unless a qualified instructor has reviewed it and says so.
- AI grades can be reviewed and changed by a teacher; students see feedback rather than grades in the product.
- We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness or fitness of any AI output. The AI Usage and Learning Data Disclosure explains where AI is used and how your data reaches it.
Teacher and student responsibilities
- Teachers review generated courses before use, keep their rosters accurate, treat what they can see of students’ work confidentially and only for teaching, and follow their school’s policies on student data. Co-teachers and co-mentors accept the same duties for the classes they help with.
- Students do their own work unless an assignment says otherwise, keep their answers and messages respectful, and use teacher help and live chat for the class they are in.
- Everyone follows the Acceptable Use Policy.
Cancellation and access
You can cancel a subscription at any time from the Pricing page or through Stripe’s billing portal. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for, and nothing is charged after that. Class payments, failed payments and refund requests are covered in the Refund and Cancellation Policy. Deleting your account (Account page) cancels any live subscription first and removes your data as the Privacy Policy describes.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend or close an account, remove content, or withdraw teacher approval if these terms or the Acceptable Use Policy are broken, if a payment is not made, if the law requires it, or to protect other users or the product. Where reasonable we will warn you first and explain. You may stop using the product and delete your account at any time.
If we withdraw the product or a paid feature, we will give reasonable notice and will not charge you for a period you cannot use.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The product is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties, express or implied, about its availability, accuracy or fitness for a particular purpose, and we do not warrant that AI-generated content is correct.
To the fullest extent the law allows, ClikServ will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of the product; and our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or the statutory rights of consumers.
Changes and contact
- Changes: we may update these terms. The date at the top shows the current version; for material changes we will tell signed-in users in the product or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use the product after that means you accept the new terms.
